Built in 1890 as the first officer's quarters on the naval station, Truman Little White House became the residence of President Harry S Truman in 1946, when he first went there for rest and relaxation during his presidency. Many dignitaries and Presidents have stayed there since. Visitors may take guided tours of the house and the botanical gardens. A Presidential gift shop is available as well.

See the house where he wrote most of his acclaimed works. Hemingway, a cat lover, reputdely had more than fifty cats whose desecendents remain in residence, on the grounds today.
